About Me

I have been teaching in Ashland my whole career. I began as a substitute teacher at the Mindess in 1988 when I moved here from Ohio. I received a B.S. in Education from the University of Akron, with a double major of elementary education and special education (learning disabilities and behavior disorders) and a Master's Degree from Lesley College in Literacy Curriculum and Instruction. In the past, I worked at both the Pittaway and Warren Schools as a Special Education teacher. Both my children graduated from Ashland High School and went on to graduate from college. I live in Ashland with my husband and our new puppy a Schnoodle named Hazel , you might see me walking her at the AFM!  For fun, I like to read, draw/color and when not sidelined by injury run 5 and the occasional 10K.
